Geomorphosis is a piece about the impact the surrounding has on the individual and how the individual is shaping it’s environment. With projection a changing world is created. As the dancer moves she goes through different stages of development while being in interrelation with the projection.
Geo is taken from the greek word γαια meaning 'earth', usually in the sense of ground or land. Morphosis is standing for the latin word 'morphosis', which means shaping. We are in constant interdependency with the surrounding, needing it in order to survive. But as a species we are now threatening our own survival by the way we treat our environment.
As an individual, everyone has to choose what to keep and what to reject from their cultural heritage. What would you keep from your culture and what would make you change your strategies?
Along a wall, the storyline unfolds between light and darkness. How do we find our equilibrium between conditioning and freedom?
