Desire fuels the search for balance in Cyclic Bliss, a dance trio that engages with the hormonal rhythms of menstruating bodies. In a world that often suppresses or ignores these fluctuations, three performers navigate the tension between external demands and the body’s need to slow down, listen, and recalibrate.

Despite its fundamental role in human life, menstruation remains surrounded by taboo and misunderstanding across cultures. As environmental stress, societal pressure, and disrupted living rhythms increasingly affect hormonal health, the work brings this often-silenced experience into a shared performative space. Through undulating movement and moments of resistance, the dancers trace the friction between control and surrender.

What happens when the body no longer aligns with expectation—whether personal or societal? Rather than resisting, Cyclic Bliss invites a shift in perspective: to recognize cyclicality not as limitation, but as a source of intelligence. Movement and stillness coexist, opening a space to witness, to embrace, and to reframe what it means to be in rhythm.
